I've seen some grizzly stuff that is quite acceptable, don't know about all of their stuff,, that IS cheap, my tormek was 4 times as much, I love it! To those that don't know,,,, a high speed grinder is not even in the same ballpark as the slow wet grinder,,, not even the same planet,,, one will not take the place of the other.

I have the 10" Grizzly wet grinder and almost all my jigs are Tormek. You can't use the Tormek planer jig because the adjustable support rods on the Tormek jig don't fit the Grizzly. Grizzly has a good similarly priced planer jig so it isn't necessary to drill to relocate the support rod mounts to fit the adjustable support rods of the Tormek.

The Grizzly is a good bit cheaper than the Tormek. I was wondering if anyone had experience with both of them. Would the Grizzly be as good as the Tormek or is the Tormek worth the extra $200.00. The Grizzly machine weighs almost 3 times as much as the Tormek, so I probably wont get it.

I have the Grizzly 10" wet grinder also. I am pretty happy with it, but have a few issues with mine. The hole in the grinding wheel (I'm not sure what the technical term is) is not perfectly perpendicular to the flat side of the wheel, so there is a slight wobble, enough that you can feel and see it.

I use a Grizzly 10" wet grinder to sharpen gouges. I use the Tormek svd-186 jig. It doesnt remove much material when resharpening - I'm sure it conserves steel like a cbn wheel. Replacement 10" wheels are available from several mfrs. I am not a free hand sharpener.

The Wen wet grinders look like the Grizzly 10 inch wet grinder, which I would not recommend. I use the Grizzly wet grinder with Tormek jigs for my HSS woodturning tools. I get by with it, but would not recommend it to my friends. I wish I had a low speed grinder with CBN wheels and the Wolverine jigs instead. Someday perhaps.

Then I bought the Grizzly T10010 10" Wet Grinder Kit based on the reviews here. As a previous reviewer said all the jigs except the universal support work on the Grizzly. That is too bad because the Tormek universal support is much better than the Grizzly. As far as I can tell the Grizzly is working as it should, the stone is not cracked.
