Very, very pleased with this purchase. Having previously used the Merlin system by King Arthur, I found the Arbortech to be a solid, effective, durable tool. While the Merlin is a much lighter unit, it is prone to over heating after a short time. In contrast, the Arbortech mini grinder is hard working and very durable.

Re: arbortech mini grinder I got both an arbortech mini grinder and a power chisel with extra gouges off Craigslist for $110. I gotta say for the work I do, I like the chisel better than the mini grinder, even with the carbide wheel. I don't like the constant (every 15 min) of adding the lube, but it moves wood very well and precisely.

Arbortech Mini Pro Blade. The Mini Pro blade is a great addition to the standard blade on the Arbortech Mini Grinder and the (now discontinued) Arbortech Mini Grinder. It's wider and creates a smoother faster cut. In addition, it can make planing cuts flat on it's face.
